Hi! My name is Ellen Whitefield and I am a Level 7 Specialist Dyslexia Teacher and Assessor. I am dedicated to supporting young people with dyslexia and dyslexic-type tendencies.

I am committed to making a positive impact on the lives of those with dyslexia, empowering them to thrive in their educational journey.

​​I offer specialist dyslexia tuition and formal dyslexia diagnostic assessments from my home in Gerrards Cross for children from the age of 8 - 15 years. I can also conduct the assessment at your child's school if that is preferred.
As well as offering a diagnosis, the assessments are designed to uncover strengths and challenges, informing the development of personalised strategies and recommendations to be put in place at home and at school. ​

Comprehensive Diagnostic Dyslexia Assessments
I am a British Dyslexia Association accredited specialist teacher, providing first class specialist dyslexia tuition for children and young people with dyslexia and dyslexic-type tendencies.

Cost: £55 per hour
The assessments involve the collection of background information from the family and school, as well as a range of tests to assess various literacy and cognitive skills. I provide detailed reports outlining the findings and recommendations for support, as well as confirmation of a diagnosis where relevant.

As well as offering a formal diagnosis of dyslexia, the assessment report will also provide a comprehensive profile of the individual, detailing their strengths and weaknesses. Personalised recommendations for home and school are also included in the report. These recommendations are tailor-made for the individual taking into account their strengths and weaknesses.
